Verna Jean Nursery is a second-generation, family-run business providing our customers with quality shade, flowering, and ornamental trees for nearly 40 years.

In 1967, Verna Jean Hale began her nursery on one acre, farming the land that her grandparents had once farmed. Over the years her nursery grew to almost 17 acres and is now run by Verna Jean’s son-in-law and daughter, Larry & Angela Bailey.

Verna Jean prided herself in exceptional customer service and quality, handpicked trees, whether you required five or 500; and it is our strong desire to continue her legacy. Our nursery specializes in ornamental and flowering trees including Japanese Maple, European Beech, Dogwood, Monkey Puzzle, and Magnolia.

Located in the scenic wonderland about 40 minutes east of downtown Portland, Oregon, we are proud to be part of the diverse and thriving horticultural community of Oregon. We are members of the Oregon Association of Nurseries and Oregon Farm Bureau.
